It’s almost school holiday time and while it’s a bit colder in June than it was during the January holidays, there are still hundreds of great things to get up to while you're off from school. At Inner West Orthodontics we’ve spoken with a number of our school-aged Orthodontic clients about their plans for June Holiday activities and we have combined some of their ideas with our own to come up with a list. We’ve made sure our suggestions suit a range of budgets so you can save your pocket money. Get your creative juices flowing with our ideas for holiday fun.
Cool things to do that cost nothing:

June Holiday Activities don’t need to be expensive. There are a number of things to do that cost nothing.
- The Bondi to Bronte walk is a beautiful coastal track that offers some glorious views. Take some photos on the way or make it a race, it’s a great place to spend the day. The entire walk is around 4km long and by the end of it you’ll be ready for a milkshake or treat to replenish your energy levels.
- Pack a picnic and get ready for the biggest game of hide and seek ever played at Sydney’s Botanic Gardens. With a great view of the harbour the gardens are full of good hiding spots, bring a blanket and a hat so you can relax with your friends on the lush grounds afterwards.
- If you prefer leafier surroundings head to Sydney’s Olympic Park. Bicentennial Park is home to mangroves and a number of scenic walks, bring your bike to take advantage of the tracks or you can hire one from the bike shop (at a cost of $20).

- Hire a kayak with a friend. For $40 you can get a double kayak from Rose Bay Aquatic hire and soak up the beautiful Sydney Harbour views for an entire hour. Try not to capsize though!
- See the new Jurassic World movie at Hoyts on a Tuesday for less than twenty bucks. Every Tuesday is Cheap Tuesday during the school holidays, meaning you can check out the movies you want to for less. (is your phone with optus? they do $10 tickets too!)
- Everyone has been on a trampoline but have you ever been to a trampoline park? Sky Zone in Alexandria is an indoor trampoline park that literally allows you to jump off the walls. For $18 you will have an hour of jumping time and a special pair of Sky Zone socks to help you grip.
- Head to the Powerhouse Museum these holidays for just $8. It’s one of Sydney’s largest and most diverse museums with a number of interesting exhibits, many of which are interactive. Think holographic images, touch screen computers and science experiments.
